Научно-изследователска област

Секция ВСПЕ провежда фундаментални и приложни изследвания в областта на електрохимично получаване на водород и енергия в електролизни, горивни и обратими бифункционални клетки с полимерен електролит. Научно-изследователската дейност включва разработване на нови електродни материали (катализатори, каталитични носители) и компоненти (електроди, мембранни електродни пакети), тяхното охарактеризиране, интегриране в моделни системи и изпитване на функционалните им харатктеристики в условия близки до реалните за работата на тези системи. Изследват се мултиметални катализатори, смесени системи метал-метален оксид и композитни системи с активен каталитичен носител. Разработват се нови материали с намалено и нулево съдържание на платина, повишена структурна и химична устойчивост. Създават се лабораторни прототипи на водородни енергийни системи и автономни тестови устройства. Екипът притежава експертиза и в други области на електрохимичното материалознание като корозия, инхибитори на корозия, електрохимични сензори, функционално електростимулиране, стъкла и стъклокерамични материали, сонохимия/акустохимия.
